Michael Lau is a recent addition to the Charrette Center staff. As a design associate he will be executing urban design visualizations with tasks including:
- Land based modeling and 3D massing
- Site and context research
- Project documentation
- Charrette studio setup
- Charrette meeting facilitation
- Form-based codes
- Watercolor Rendering
Michael received a Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of Minnesota in 2003. He has recently returned to the U of MN and is studying Geographic Information Systems through the Department of Geography. In addition to an education in GIS Michael plans to attend the School of Architecture to study sustainable design.
Michael hopes that by mastering sustainable design concepts, he can bring sustainable design from an idealistic vision in urban planning to realistic alternatives in technological applications.
